Its solutions are developed for energy companies, with the primary focus being electric utility companies and energy distributors.
The company’s flagship offering consists of **GridValue** and **EnergyGrid**, a complete product and software solution that integrates distributed energy devices and provides real-time energy data, analytics, and predictive models. The Corinex solution has been validated by global utilities with some of the most stringent technology requirements, and it is the first company to resolve BPL’s technological challenges, enabling its mass adoption as a market leader after a decade-long technology race with incumbent players. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, with a presence in Slovakia and China.
**The Opportunity**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with Corinex’s Marketing Coordinator on all communication and public relations activities for the company
- Develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy that will enhance Corinex’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public
- Actively pursue newsjacking opportunities
- Write content for press releases and public announcements, and execute online updates via social media
- Prepare any PR communications materials as required
- Serve as mentor to other communications team members, particularly on the topic of dealing with the media companies
- Effectively source and manage external media relationships so resources are appropriately focused on strategic efforts
- Serve as the main point of contact with the media and manage all media relations, developing and executing appropriate responses
- Establish and maintain working contact lists for media and proactively reach out to enhance relationships while maintaining a database of press contacts
- Draft press releases and editorial content that support messaging strategy while effectively reaching target audiences
- Maintain records and report on media exposure, engagement, and gained
**Q**ualifications**:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of communications or marketing experience, with a preference for those with a media company or media relations background
- Work requires the ability to perform creative writing and related activities such as copy editing, conducting interviews, and performing excellent research
- Skills acquired through the attainment of a bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or years of experience in a related discipline
- Careful attention to detail
- Values and ensures thorough and accurate information
- Organizes and delivers information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work; effectively manages multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
- Use of sound judgment to make appropriate, timely decisions in complex situations for which there are no set procedures
- Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team
- Experience handling confidential information
