We are a privately held family run corporation, seeking a Lead Hand / Foreman or Formwork Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will oversee concrete projects and lead a team of workers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the crew on-site.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during construction activities.
- Oversee concrete forming and pouring processes to meet project specifications.
- Assist tradespersons such as Lead Hand, Carpenters and other trade partners during construction activities.
- Assist in the preparation of job sites, including material handling and site cleanup.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with Project Manager(s) to report progress and address any issues.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a lead hand in commercial formwork construction.
- Proven experience in concrete work or construction management.
- Experience with a variety of forming systems including Peri, Aluma, Doka, Camlock & Gang forms.
- Experience with erecting and dismantling formwork for suspended slabs, columns, beams, cores, footings, walls, stairs, and raft slabs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Productive in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
- Understands and adheres to all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, push/pull, bend and crouch frequently and work in adverse weather conditions.
- Own transportation, able to get to and from site.
**Salary**
- Negotiable
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 44 per week
Work Location: On the road
