Shipper/receiver/shop Helper

**Job Title: Shipper/Receiver/Shop Helper - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan**

We are looking for an experienced Shipper/Receiver/Shop Helper to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

This position may offer opportunities for career growth, including training and development to transition into a Parts Technician role in the future.

**Responsibilities**
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment for moving, stacking, or storing parts and equipment.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Handle shipping, receiving, and inventory management of parts.
- Assists parts and service when required, and other duties assigned by the office manager.
- Assist mechanics, parts personnel, and lift technicians with various duties both onsite and at customer locations.
- Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal, ice melt spreading, and grass cutting.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards in shared spaces, work bays, and the yard to ensure a clean, safe, and organized workplace.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Welcome visitors and announce them to the appropriate personnel.
- Operate a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate contact and take detailed messages in a professional manner.

**Requirements & Skills**
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Shipper Receiver.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Class 3 driver’s license preferred, but not required.
- Ability to balance and secure loads effectively.
- Forklift certification or prior operating experience.
- Proficiency with technology, including iPads and computers.
- Flexibility to work after-hours and travel, including occasional overnights.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Attention to detail.

**Related Physical & Safety Requirements**
- Able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 1500 lbs.
- Proficient in handling tools and operating equipment.
- Collaborative teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capable of standing, walking, climbing, reaching overhead, bending, or kneeling for extended periods.
- Adheres to safety policies and protocols, including waste disposal practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
