A Project Manager is defined as the person assigned by the performing organization to lead the project team, that is responsible for achieving the project objectives. Project Managers perform a variety of functions, such as facilitating the project teamwork to achieve the outcomes and managing the processes to deliver intended outcomes.

Project managers cultivate the people skills needed to develop trust and communication among all of a project's stakeholders: its sponsors, those who will make use of the project's results, those who command the resources needed, and the project team members.

**Experience**:
Project Management Institute.
- Strong client interaction and internal teamwork skills.
- Ability to articulate project objectives, stakeholder needs, and expectations for Project Managers.
- Past history of demonstrated project success (time, cost, quality and risk)
- 3+ years’ experience in a Project Manager position, ideally in a natural resource consultancy or organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering all types of projects with autonomy.
- Recognized qualification in Project Management desirable, such as PMP or Certificate in Project Management
- The applicant should have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a curious and outgoing personality.

Reporting Relationships:
Reports to: Project Management Office (PMO)

Communication
- Proactively provides Project Managers and other team members with the information they need to make informed and effective decisions.
- Shares the right information effectively, at the right time, and with tact and discretion as needed; utilizes political understanding and respect of confidentiality to determine what information is communicated, with whom, and why.
- Clearly articulates and clarifies project expectations under the guidance of the Project Manager to; colleagues, clients, managers, sub-trades, and community members such that projects can be completed successfully with mínimal room for misunderstanding or misalignment.
- Reiterates project objectives with team members so that the projects can be completed successfully.

Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of stakeholders, team members, clients, and project managers, to ensure a common focus is being worked towards.
- Holds Project Managers, Team Leads and Sponsors accountable to PMO processes.
- Clearly articulates and clarifies project objectives with team members so that the projects can be completed successfully.
- Applies an “outstanding customer service” approach to all; project managers, team members, and stakeholders interactions and communications.

Time Management & Reporting
- Collects reliable and valid data to create comprehensive project plans and reports.
- Builds and tracks effective scheduling and allocations of financial resources to ensure the projects are on-time and on budget.
- Accurately prepares budgets for several concurrent and interdependent projects, including timely and accurate monitoring and reporting on variances (actual and foreseen/anticipated) to the Project Manager. Proactively anticipates and follows up on discrepancies in projects/actual costs to minimize risk and address challenges before the impact becomes significant.
