**Key Accountabilities**:

- Participate in the delivery of safety communications and programs to support the Health and Safety Management System.
- Provide assistance with incident investigations to determine root cause, ensure corrective action(s) have been implemented and proper closure is obtained
- maintain tracking system for Hazard Identifications, Near Misses & Incident Reports
- Complete monthly manhour reporting
- Support site management to ensure early and safe return to work for injured employees.
- Manage all work-related WCB claims
- Oversee 3rd party auditing systems to ensure compliance and adherence to safety requirements
- Review safety orientations for all new hires and ensure each branch has completed the required orientations by maintaining and updating the orientation tracking sheet
- Create content for monthly corporate health & safety meetings
- Ensure Health & Safety documentation is recorded, filed and report any discrepancies to management
- Ensure all branches meet legislative requirements for First Aid, JOHSC, Training etc.
- Assist on projects and administration tasks on an as needed basis

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary certificate/diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of Canadian/Provincial OH&S related legislation, regulations, and standards
- Experience with 3rd party auditing systems such as ISNetworld, Avetta, ComplyWorks
- Strong organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advance Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at once
- CRSP /CRST Designation an asset
