Edmonton, Canada Brenex Building Corporation Ltd. Full time

Brenex Building Corporation, a commercial general contractor proudly celebrating 40 years in business, is looking for a Health and Safety Administrator (HSA) to join our team.

The primary responsibility of the HSA is to monitor and implement Brenex’s health and safety program. This person will be responsible for maintaining Brenex’s COR certification, and ensuring Brenex is meeting all OH&S requirements.

Main Duties:

- Ongoing development and updating of health and safety program
- Review, organization, maintenance, and filing of all safety documentation
- Develop and implement equipment maintenance program
- Conduct site inspections, incident investigations, and safety meetings
- Conduct new hire safety orientations
- Ensure all required safety documentation is available on work sites
- Work closely with site superintendents to ensure safety on the work site
- Monitor safety performance on work sites including subcontractors
- Review and revise formal hazard assessments as needed
- Develop work site Emergency Response Plans
- Complete yearly internal safety audits to maintain COR, and assist in external audits for COR recertification
- Complete WCB reporting and manage WCB claims including all related documentation, rehabilitation, and return to work programs
- Encourage and promote a safe work culture with a positive attitude and team approach

Qualifications:

- Alberta Construction Safety Association - HSA Designation (or other health and safety administration program)
- One to two years of construction safety management experience
- Valid ACSA COR Auditor Training Program Certification
- Current Standard First Aid
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with SiteDocs safety documentation program an asset

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 35-40 per week
