**Summary**:
Do you have a passion for Human Resources practices and Recruitment and want to take your career to the next level? We are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR department. As an HR Coordinator, you will work closely with the HR Manager, IT, Payroll, and Production Teams. The HR Coordinator is responsible for various functions of our HR department, including recruitment, talent management, supporting HR practices, and coordinating studio facilities.
**Your Main Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Recruitment**:
- Manage the recruitment cycle by creating postings, sourcing, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, and assisting with the onboarding process.
- Coordinate with IT, Payroll and Production Teams with regard to setting up new hires.
- Support reference checking for potential employees.
- Advertise job postings on social media.
- Manage the applicant tracking system.
- Research industry trends and job markets.
- Support and attend recruiting events.
- Keep up with the pace of staffing needs.
**General HR tasks**:
- Create, maintain, and update employee files in HRIS.
- Coordinate separations with IT, Finance and Production Teams.
- Assist with talent management and attend a variety of meetings.
- Send out general correspondence to employees.
- Respond to inquiries from employees at all levels with regard to HR, such as absences, policies, and procedures.
- Assist supervisors in arranging Performance & Probation Reviews.
- Support the HR department in creating and updating policies and employee handbook, conducting employee surveys, and developing best practices and culture for the company, Stellar.
- Support the Production Teams with planning company’s events such as Christmas parties, Halloween parties, lunches, and client visits.
- Support the Payroll and Finance Departments as needed.
**Facilities**:
- Assist with providing access card and alarm system information to new and existing employees, as well as providing access to the studio to them when necessary.
- Act as an in-person front of house when required.
- Respond to requests with regard to all aspects of studio facilities including electricals, plumbing, workstations, storage systems, and air conditioning, as well as maintain facilities-related documentation.
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of British Columbia.
- Support and maintain COVID-19-related protocols.
**Your Experience, Talents and Abilities**:
- BA in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related Diploma/Certificate.
- Previous experience in an HR department or any relevant administrative roles is preferred.
- Ability to display integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.
- Strong ability to balance and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication skills (writing and speaking).
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Google Suite, HRIS (Payworks) and ATS (JazzHR) and LinkedIn is preferred.
- Understanding of Employment Law in BC, Ontario, Alberta & Quebec and knowledge of laws and regulations is an asset.
- First Aid Certificate is a plus.
- Experience in digital marketing is a plus.
This is a hybrid position and you are expected to work in the office 1-2 days per week. You must be able to work in BC.
