A well-established small animal practice in Auburn Bay, Southeast Calgary, is seeking a PART TIME dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This position is perfect for individuals with some experience in the veterinary field who are eager to expand their knowledge and contribute to a progressive practice.
**Desired Attributes and Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience
- Organized, calm under pressure, and focused on providing excellent customer service
- Prior experience in customer service and administrative duties
- Comfortable answering phone calls and booking appointments
- Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in animal restraint for veterinarians and technicians
- Strong understanding of hygiene standards in a veterinary setting
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Resourceful and proactive when dealing with client inquiries
- Kennel care experience
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
**Additional Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in veterinary care and/or animal handling is an asset
- Proximity to Auburn Bay, Calgary, is preferred
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
