**NCSO Safety Officer - Civil Construction**

**Wage/Salary Range**: $70,000 to $80,000 annually, plus company truck

**Shift Schedule**: Monday to Friday

**Hours Per Day**: 8 to 10 hours

**Job Overview**:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one NCSO Safety Officer with a civil construction background to join our Valued Clients team in Calgary, AB. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety. Occasional travel to out-of-town job sites will be required based on project needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement and monitor safety programs and procedures at the project site.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
- Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Maintain detailed safety documentation and records.

**Qualifications**:

- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in safety roles within civil construction environments.
- Strong understanding of provincial occupational health and safety regulations.
- Valid driver’s license.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience with safety software or reporting tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- COR auditing experience is an asset.

**Work Environment**:

- Field-based construction project sites in Calgary and occasionally in surrounding regions.
- Outdoor work in variable weather conditions.
- Use of standard personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
