We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Custodian to join our team at Richland Academy. This role supports the school’s mission by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. Working during after-school hours, the custodian will focus on cleaning and maintenance tasks in classrooms, washrooms, hallways, common areas, and outdoor spaces.

This job reports to the Campus Manager

**Responsibilities**

**Cleaning & Maintenance**:

- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and carpets.
- Empty trash and recycling bins, and ensure proper disposal.
- Dust and clean surfaces, including desks, shelves, windows, and whiteboards.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
- Refill supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed. **Safety & Security**:

- Lock and secure classrooms and common areas at the end of the shift.
- Report any safety hazards, damage, or maintenance issues to the Campus Manager.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. **Additional Duties**:

- Assist with setup and cleanup for after-school events as needed.
- Perform light outdoor maintenance, such as sweeping walkways or emptying outdoor trash cans.
- Respond to emergencies or special requests promptly.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

**Schedule**:

- Weekdays, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Occasional flexibility for school events.

**Compensation**:
$25/hr plus 4% vacation pay
