**Job Description: Quality Assurance Team Leader**

**Position Summary**

The Quality Assurance Team Leader is responsible for all aspects of quality working closely with production, supply chain, maintenance, and sanitation, ensuring all finished products meet specifications and customer expectations. This position directly reports to the QA/QC Compliance Manager.

**Responsibilities**

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Monitoring manufacturing operations and ensuring they run smoothly

Performing routine quality assessments on incoming materials and outgoing products

Testing a set percentage of products per established standards for the company

Complete Product Sensory Evaluation and assist production to resolve the issues with product quality

Conducting tests at different stages of production and packaging, from the gathering of raw materials to the final product

Reporting any defects or problems with products to senior QA/QC staff

Interaction and communication with production coordinators and their lead production and packaging leads

Training new Quality Control Inspector team members

Updating testing protocols and standards to increase safety and efficiency

Understanding product specifications to understand the production requirements of products

Measuring product attributes and comparing the final products to see if standards are met

Recommending product improvements and changes to the production processes to improve quality

Documenting inspection findings, and completing detailed reports and performance records

Educating the production team on quality control processes, concerns, and standards of product quality

Educating the production team on quality control processes, concerns, and standards of food safety

Conduct GMP inspections and communicate findings to plant management

Provide assistance to Department Manager in investigating NCRs

Follow up and document QA Hold and release procedure
