**The Role**
We are currently looking for you to take on the temporary role of a Part-time/Casual Maintenance Supervisor (Group Leader), based out of our Oshawa Assembly Plant. Your shifts may be scheduled on the weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) and/or during the week to provide absence relief. Your work schedule may also vary on a weekly basis. Our plant is a 3-shift operation. This is a temporary position.
In this role, you are responsible for operations, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment. You may supervise a medium size group of employees in a skilled area of work. Work requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedure. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE).
- Perform the position of Maintenance Supervisor (Group Leader) on a part-time/casual basis providing absence relief
- You will conduct appropriate checks and tests, and communicate evaluation of results
- Recommends solutions to problems
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions
- Meet schedule and quality requirements
- Align with the terms of local and national labour agreements
- Implement policies and safety and good housekeeping practices
- Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group
- Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
- Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project.
- Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles

- Develop a proactive safety culture by engaging team members
- Complete safety incident investigations and develop corrective action
- Provide leadership and direction to GM skilled trades,and contractorswhen required
- Manage equipment issues and breakdowns
- Develop improvements to standard tasks usingSOP's,STS', Maximo andTIS'
- Support production department in change management events
- Manage staffing levels for your group
- Administer daily timekeeping activities (Kronos)
**Requirements**:
- Ability to work a flexible part-time/casual schedule, including weekends
- 2+ years of related experience in either a supervisory or engineering role, preferred.
- University degree/diploma/trade ticket or equivalent experience, preferred
- Practicaland technicalproblem solvingskills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage both employee and equipment budgets
- Understanding plant monitoring and controltraining
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to work any assigned shifts
