**Overview**
We are looking for an experienced **Supervisor** to oversee our production team and shift operations. You’ll guarantee that manufacturing remains a safe, smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and processes.
In a fast paced environment like production, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations.
**Details**
The **Supervisor** is a vital role in Amhil production as it leads and manages daily shift activities and how employees perform during their shift, ensuring duties are completed and production goals are met.
The incumbent will work closely with other Supervisors, Team Leads and other leadership to ensure maximum effectiveness and production and maintains close working relationships with Scheduling, Warehousing and Sales to ensure customer needs are addressed.
**Shifts**: 8hr or 12hr Continental (Rotating) depending on assignment.
- Ensure all work is conducted in a safe manner - think “**Safety First**”
- Develop a strong understanding of the entire manufacturing process.
- Be sure Production priorities are understood and incorporated in work plans.
- Optimize day-to-day activities to ensure that production processes meet production and quality targets.
- On the floor 70%+ of the time, assessing: inter-departmental teamwork, workload, attitude, morale, labour and production issues, etc.
- Tracking and verification of product Quality as per specifications and acting quickly on NCRs.
- Minimize labour costs while maintaining effectiveness.
- Manage employee absences, vacations and LOA’s to ensure balance of skills and resources to get the job done.
- Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives including Lean, ISO, 5S etc.
- Monitor and react to production variances.
- Problem-solving with scrapping of product or unplanned outages are acted on with high urgency and proper resources brought in to support.
- Establish and maintain standards in consultation with Plant Manager (housekeeping, OT distribution, work practices, etc.)
**What we’re looking for**

- Post-secondary degree in a related field preferred
- Able to accommodate a rotating shift schedule.
- Experience in thermoforming or extrusion industry.
- Proven experience in a similar role in GMP Manufacturing.
- Able to lead, manage and motivate team members.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written).
- Able to multi-task and stay on top of competing priorities
- Computer proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
