GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY*
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will provide leadership to the production process as well as providing leadership to the assigned departments within Paint, Pressure Body, Badging, Meter Service, Mechanical Module Assembly, and Proving within the Plant.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: *
**H&S responsibilities**:

- Be involved in accident / incident investigation progress
- Conduct safety talks with employees
- Training of new employees as part of the orientation process
- Correct unsafe acts and conditions and/or communicate to appropriate manager for correction
- Correct and recognize Health and Safety performance
- Ensures company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are utilized by all department staff and visitors
- Observe all legislative requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

**Department responsibilities**:

- Maintain supervisory control and direction over the department’s day to day production activities
- Set production targets as defined by the customer delivery schedule by allocating work to employees
- Daily review of employee attendance and follow-up with employees who are absent without reason
- Controls working hours and overtime in the department
- Schedules and approves vacation as per Company’s Vacation Policy
- Ensures that the work instructions are followed and that the operators have received the proper training with regard to work instructions and quality procedures
- Develop training plans for the employees in the department and maintain accurate training records
- Responsible for attainment of weekly production requirements
- Ensures that plant efficiency is maintained at the highest level, without sacrificing safety/quality/cost standards
- Maintains good communication with employees to increase productivity and reduction of scrap or time loss by creating a team-oriented environment
- Ensures that all Company policies are adhered to at all times
- Attend daily/weekly production meetings to communicate requirements for production attainment
- Maintain close communication with other department supervisors to ensure components and sub-assemblies are completed and delivered on time to your department for assembly
- Participate and/or coordinate assigned Plant Continuous Improvement Projects
- Maintain Lean Systems such as KANBAN, 5S, Employee Kaizen, etc.
- Ensure that daily production reporting is completed accurately and on time
- Check timecards and work order cards for daily production requirements
- Fix workorder cards with Manufacturing Engineering Dept. (meter, item, module)
- Review parts (BOM)
