Games Manager

**The Position**

Reporting to the Casino Manager, the Games Manager is an exciting leadership role that will experience all the classic casino games and action. The Games Manager will oversee all the gaming floor tables. This is an excellent opportunity to grow with our business that now operates three casinos in Alberta.

**Responsibilities**:
Support and implement procedures to ensure the highest level of compliance.

Motivate and empower colleagues by exemplifying outstanding guest service, to both internal as well as external guests.

Promote teamwork and create a fun, friendly and inviting atmosphere.

Develop, coach, and mentor employees to help them achieve success and career goals.

Will be working under the Senior Games Manager and training on all aspects of running a table’s games department.

Preparing and submitting reports on Table Statistics, and effectively utilizing table game analytics

Opening and closing the tables games department in conjunction with Cash Cage Advisors and Volunteers

Ordering Fills and Credits

Monitor all table games and report labour costs.

Manage improvements to the floor plan, gaming mix and create business cases for mixing up table games offerings.

Communicate effectively with all appropriate departments.

Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with guests, ownership, employees, the AGLC and the community and charitable organizations.

Ensure compliance with AGLC policies.

Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.

Promote and maintain the highest levels of integrity and customer service.

Ensure proper implementation of established policies and procedures.

Work with Supervisor to complete schedules and to schedule employee vacation time.

Ensure outstanding guest service by responding promptly to guest needs and requests for service.

Build team spirit through positive reinforcement and recognizing excellence in the workplace. Focus on resolving conflict and maintaining confidentiality.

Respond to and resolve concerns or issues.

Continuously work to improve processes and service.

**?Qualifications**:
5+ years in?a Manager Role.

Previous?experience managing table game operations?in a casino environment.

Experience dealing with VIP?or “high stakes”?guests.

Related education is considered an asset.

Strong leadership qualities?with proven?ability to mentor, develop and support a team.

Strong work ethic?with?ability to maintain professionalism and a high level of confidentiality.

Knowledge of gaming controls.

Proven track record influencing peers,?management?and ownership.

Collaborative?attitude that looks for?input to improve strategy development.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prepare written correspondence, reports, proposals, and procedures.

Ability to speak English is mandatory. Ability to fluently speak additional languages is an asset.

Excellent interpersonal skills,?organized, with strong problem solving, coaching and consulting skills.

Strong competency in MS Office?including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Criminal Record Check obtained through City Police or RCMP.

Current AGLC registration gaming license.

AML Certification, Deal us in Phase & 2, and ProServe certification with AGLC.\

Knowledge of Alberta Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines.

Knowledge and ability to clearly explain operating house rules to guests and employees.

Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to maintain good rapport between all departments and ownership.

Professional demeanor and ability to approach situations in a tactful manner.

Ability to work calmly under pressure and treat others with respect regardless of their status or position.

Accept responsibility for own actions.

Strong willingness to learn about guest needs and wants.

Able to work Full-time, evenings and weekends. ?

**Working Conditions:?**

Essential duties involve working with large numbers of people in an indoor environment.?This position requires physical exertion including:
Frequent?standing, sitting, and computer work.

Potentially interact?with confrontational?and/or potentially angry?people.

This role requires a clear criminal record check.
