Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, the Planner Scheduler will take a lead role in schedule development and maintenance on various scales construction project as well as training and mentoring project staff if applicable.

What You Will Be Working On

Planner Scheduler
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams on various types of projects and contracts.
- Interface with various stakeholders including but not limited to operations, clients, and subcontractors to plan and develop baseline schedules and schedule basis and assumption document, as well as document the impacts to work and support resolution of issues in case of schedule variations.
- Develop the schedule in Primavera with correct Critical Path Method practices,
- Inform Construction and Project Management Team of critical and near critical activities
- Resource load the schedule and provide resource requirement graphs to Construction Management Team
- Provide various look a head plans with relevant back ups to the team
- Inform the team of alternative solutions to minimize schedule impacts as the result of change in predecessors.
- Ontime update of the schedule on a weekly basis while validating the updates through site visits,
- Provide inputs to various project reporting.
- Responsible for estimating activity durations and schedule optimization.
- Organize the project team and the scope of work, using a work breakdown structure.
- Schedule tasks in a logical manner so that lower level schedule elements support the top level milestones.
- Allocate the total budget resources to time-phased control accounts.
- Establish objective means for measuring work.
- Control the project by analyzing cost and performance variances, assessing final costs, developing corrective actions, and controlling changes to the integrated baseline.

What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in project planning and scheduling for infrastructure development projects
- Advanced understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
- Advance understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM)
- Good understanding of Workface Planning (WFP) and Installation Work Packages
- Working experience in project controls including cost control, performance measurement, change management, delay analysis and quantity surveying
- Working understanding of change management and schedule trending
- Skilled usage of Primavera software integrated with Time-Location software an asset
- Experience with developing complex engineering and construction schedules for project proposals and projects in process
- Experience performing logic analysis, CPM analysis, resource loaded, generated work breakdown structure, earned values, cost, resources, materials, work-loaded projections, S curve and cash flow diagrams
- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
- Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment
