Planners at Trident Maritime Systems are pivotal in creating and maintaining specific program and project planning items. Key responsibilities include generating operational activities lists (work packages), palletizing to support production, material allocation to work packages, and tracking costs and work package completion. This role entails production support, defining work packages, and resolving issues to expedite materials and optimize production resource utilization.
Planners are expected to leverage planning best practices, proactively identify and resolve potential planning issues that could impact project/program success, and possess a clear understanding of project lifecycle, stakeholder roles, interdepartmental interactions, and contractual scope definitions.
**Abilities**
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, manipulation, and visualization using Excel.
- Ability to develop complex spreadsheets and macros for task automation.
- Knowledge of PivotTables, Power Query, and other Excel data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of data validation and cleansing techniques.
- Familiarity with Excel's statistical functions for data analysis.
- Ability to interpret data and generate insightful reports.
- Effective collaboration skills in team environments and ability to work independently.
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure production aligns with program/project needs, including material allocation, support for warehousing and inventory management, and validation of production readiness as per schedule.
- Analyze engineering drawings, production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine resource requirements and material priorities.
- Support Project, Engineering, and Production teams by monitoring schedule progress, assisting in re-planning efforts, compiling status reports and graphs, and anticipating reporting needs across departments (e.g., EVM Analysis, Progress Reports, Work Package Status, Labor Forecasting).
- Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Develop and monitor production work packages, encompassing labor, materials, and supplies necessary to meet scheduled project/program requirements.
**Additional Experience (preferred)**
- Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM
- Autodesk AutoCAD, DWG TrueView, Navisworks
- Microsoft Office Visio
- Microsoft Power BI
Pay: $72,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
