**Responsibilities**:
**Distributor Compliance Oversight**
- Perform audits and compliance program reviews of licensed insurance intermediaries and Restricted Insurance Agents (RIAs).
- Assist Intermediaries and RIAs to identify gaps in their compliance program and assist them in remediating and closing identified deficiencies.
- For any Intermediary or RIA under follow-up monitoring, ensure additional supervisory procedures are being executed and report any exceptions to the Senior Manager, Compliance.
- Assist in reviewing and providing guidance on compliance activities for licensed insurance intermediaries and Restricted Insurance Agents (RIAs).
- Conduct compliance training programs for licensed insurance intermediaries and distributors.
**Providing ongoing support and maintenance of our internal Compliance program**
- Support in the implementation of the Company’s Compliance Program
- Supports the reporting and administration of the Regulatory Compliance Management Program (RCM)
- Participate and support the Senior Manager, Compliance for regulatory and internal reporting.
- Continually assesses current processes and recommend appropriate enhancements to improve or adapt to changing business or regulatory requirements.
- Independently monitor and assess the effectiveness of business compliance controls.
**Regulatory Change Management**
- Assists the Senior Manager, Compliance in monitoring relevant laws, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Analyze new and pending laws, regulations, and industry commitments and provide recommendations and assistance in developing policies, procedures, training, and communications to ensure compliance.
- Develop analysis of known and emerging compliance risks and opportunities in order to contribute to effective strategy development and assist in targeting and prioritizing the company’s business and operations.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a university degree in business administration, law or other related area or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- 3-5 years of work experience in the life insurance/financial services industry.
- 1-3 years of work experience in regulatory compliance, legal, risk management or audit.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify gaps in compliance programs and recommend effective remediation strategies. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Critical thinker, able to identify and provide recommendations to resolve compliance questions and improve business practices promptly and effectively.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills that illustrate the importance of compliance and how best to achieve it in accordance with the business objectives.
