**Regulatory Compliance Specialist**

Crust Craft is a research and development-driven commercial bakery that specializes in the manufacturing of specialty breads, pie crusts, pizza crusts and flatbreads. This dynamic role will report directly to Product Development Manager while working closely with Product Development & R & D team, Quality Assurance Manager, Sales & Marketing team and Production team. Crust Craft has a dynamic team of professionals that produce high quality results in a fast-paced environment.

**The duties and responsibilities, but not limited to, of the role are**:

- Develop Product Specifications in coordination with Product Development and R & D team.
- Update Product Specifications for existing products when changes are made.
- Respond to Sales and Marketing requests regarding Product specifications and any other labelling information as needed.
- Responsible for all Product labels, pre-printed bags approval, and case label set up on labeling system - case label printers.
- Develop / update Nutritional information, labels, and pre-printed packaging for existing and new products in compliance with CFIA & FDA Food Labelling and Nutritional Labelling Regulations.
- Maintain validations and verifications to meet with Product nutritional and allergen claims made on pre-printed packaging.
- Update GS1 Canada and other Customer portals with product listings, specifications, and imaging by publishing to Trading partners on GS1.
- Maintain knowledge of current food regulations and labelling requirements for both Canada and USA.
- Ensure formulations are current, accurate, complete and approved for production use.
- Responsible for regulatory compliance of incoming materials, documents and product specifications.
- Responsible to answer technical requests from customers with regards to branded products and specifications in regards to regulatory requirements.
- Assist in new Product Development from initial concept to final product.
- Assist in current product improvements.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Food Labelling in the Food Processing Industry.
- University or College degree in Food Science.
- Strong understanding of CFIA & FDA Food labelling and Nutritional labelling Regulations.
- Experience working with Nutritional software for developing Nutritional labels.
- Strong computer skills in MS word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Ability to work with suppliers and customers.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, French would be a great plus.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team and autonomously.
- Process orientated with attention to detail.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
