**Job Title: Operations and Compliance Specialist**
Department: Operations and Compliance
Reports To: CEO

**Summary of Position**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- 1. Operations Management:_
- Oversee daily operations of the college, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across all departments.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage the use of college resources, including facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- 2. Compliance Oversight:_
- Ensure the college adheres to all federal, provincial, and city regulations, including accreditation standards.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and regulations affecting the college.
- 3. Policy Development and Implementation:_
- Develop, implement, and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and faculty on compliance issues and new policies.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure policies are understood and followed.
- 4. Risk Management:_
- Identify and assess potential risks to the college’s operations and compliance status.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Prepare and submit regular risk assessment reports to senior management.
- 5. Data Management and Reporting:_
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of compliance activities and operational metrics.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies and accrediting agencies.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in operations and compliance.
- 6. Coordination and Collaboration:_
- Work closely with academic, administrative, and support departments to ensure alignment of operations and compliance efforts.
- Serve as a liaison between the college and external regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits and inspections.
- 7. Continuous Improvement:_
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices in operations and compliance.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in operational and compliance management.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, Compliance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in operations management, compliance, or a related field, in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and city regulations affecting higher education institutions.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with compliance management software.
- Professional certification in compliance (e.g., CRCM, CCEP) is a plus.
