**Registered Veterinary Technician Requirements**:

- Saturday shift, 9am to 5pm.
- Completion of a certified Veterinary Technician program.
- Comfortable / experienced with general anesthesia
- Proven work experience with a minimum of 1 - 2 years in a Veterinary Clinic
- Knowledge of veterinary issues and terminology.
- Ability to demonstrate strong initiative, work ethic, and integrity.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team.
- Fear Free Certification an asset but not required
- Provide technical services such as vaccinations, blood collection, nail trimming, anal gland expression, wound and bandage care and record on patient file
- Chart changes on patients’ file and anesthetic monitoring forms
- Produce x-rays, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis of animal health problems.
- Provide emergency patient care (admitting, estimating costs, communicating with clients, diagnostic procedures and treatment, home care instruction, discharging patient and completing medical records).

**What we can offer you**:
One day per week for 12 months (with the possibility of 2 days per week). **Priority is a 9am to 5pm shift on Saturday.**

We offer a competitive Locum RVT rate of $35 to $38.00 per hour, depending on background/experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour

Schedule:
