Job Summary

We are expanding at an incredible rate and are looking for exceptional Pharmacy Technician Interns to join our growing team. We are a leading compounding pharmacy group with locations across Canada, and we have recently expanded into a new world-class facility in Port Coquitlam.

This position is for a Compounding Pharmacy Technician Intern (Trainee) who will work with our compounding team to produce high-quality compounded products. We primarily service pharmacies, medical and veterinary clinics, and also prepare custom-compounded prescriptions for the general public. This is strictly a lab-based role, as our Call Centre provides all required telephone and in-person customer service.

Our facility is fully compliant with NAPRA guidelines and offers sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding. Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate. We aim to support a healthy work-life balance for our employees and are flexible with working hours and holidays.

Duties

  • Data capturing and entry
  • Compounding all types of non-sterile preparations, including but not limited to creams, ointments, suspensions, solutions, capsules, suppositories, etc.
  • Sterile compounding (training will be provided)
  • Ensuring all batched items are adequately stocked
  • Building formulas in PK and Kroll
  • Checking the final product (after obtaining registration as a Pharmacy Technician)

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program in Canada
  • Previous experience or coursework related to patient care or pharmacy technician duties is an asset but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
