triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc. is actively seeking an **IT Support Technician** to join our team at the Mississauga Campus located inside Square One mall.

**Primary** **Purpose**:
The main purpose of the IT Support Technician is to provide technical support for resolution or escalation of desktop, network and software related problems or requests initiated by employees and students at a campus.
The IT Support Technician acts as the initial point of contact for technical problems and performs troubleshooting tasks and problem diagnosis. Duties will also include the setup, deployment and configuration of desktop hardware and software at triOS campuses. In addition, the IT Support Technician is responsible for day-to-day maintenance and operations at the campus.

The IT Support Technician will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication, and readiness, embracing diversity, and fostering inclusion.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide initial-contact technical support to staff and students at the campus.
- Consult on complex issues with the IT department (Tech Support) to determine the best course of action.
- Communicate with customers at all levels of technical and non-technical skill sets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve/repair computer and network hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the imaging and distribution of hard drive images for various faculties.
- Assist in the overall well-being and functionality of the computer systems and its software.
- Move desks, computers and re-configure classroom layouts, running network cables and power bars.
- Keep an inventory of PCs by classroom and update the college administration system, XCAS, when necessary.
- Maintain and clean equipment at the campus including but not limited to student and staff PCs, projectors, and printers.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education/college diploma in Information Technology or an IT-related program.
- 1-2 years working in a customer/client facing position.
- A+ certification is required and Network+ is preferred.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure and desktop technologies including:

- Desktop operating systems and peripherals.
- Microsoft Operating Systems (Client and Server).
- Microsoft Messaging and Communications Platforms (Office 365, SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, etc.)
- Remote Desktop and Printer services.
- Server Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare).
- A working knowledge of computers and hardware including:

- Desktop PCs including their interconnectedness with auxiliary technology (ex. PC connecting to a printer, projector, monitor, video switches, etc.)
- Servers.
- Printers.
- A working knowledge of networking fundamentals including:

- Network routing configuration, management, and optimization.
- Wired and wireless data transfer fundamentals (802.11a/b/g/n, VLAN, Switch Management).
- Ability to work well with one's hands:

- Maintenance and repair of desktop computers, projectors, printers, etc.
- All aspects of network cabling (running, crimping, validating, etc.)

**Hours of Work**:
This position is a permanent full-time opportunity. Hours of work will be 12pm - 9pm, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work maybe required.

The scheduled start date for this opportunity is immediate.
