The British Columbia Aviation Museum is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving aircraft, artifacts, and stories relating to the aviation history of British Columbia. Situated at the Victoria International Airport in North Saanich, BC and occupies approximately 45,000 square feet of display space, with a collection of over 10, 000 artifacts. The Museum has three four-time staff and over one-hundred dedicated volunteers that are dedicated to the operation of the museum. Our collection of more than 40 aircraft on display that once flew in Canadian skies, mostly over British Columbia with our earliest aircraft dating back to 1910. In some cases, our aircraft on display are all that is left of the aircraft that took to the skies over BC.

Currently, the BC Aviation Museum is looking for a summer student to work on rotation in several of our departments. These departments will include collections, displays, and museum operations. Our plan is for the intern to spend time working with each department so that they can gain an understanding of how each department operates.

A student may be eligible for employment if they:

- are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada (non-Canadians holding temporary work visas or awaiting permanent resident status are not eligible);
- are legally entitled to work in Canada (have a valid social insurance number);
- are between 16 and 30 years of age inclusively at the start of employment; and
- are a high school, college, CEGEP or university student, and enrolled at their academic institution the semesters before and after the work term.

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
