**The Job** We are currently seeking out creative, self-motivated & purpose driven individuals with a great eye for detail to fill the position of Team Lead.
- Perform Spring and Fall garden clean-ups to both residential & commercial properties.
- Perform plant & garden care and maintenance duties including: weeding, pruning, installation of plant material and mulch, and monitoring of plant material health on client properties.
- Responsible for the daily inspection, loading and care of maintenance tools and equipment as well as safe operation of company truck and trailer.
- Responsible for the completion of daily work description logs and team time sheets.
- Responsible to comply, encourage and enforce all of the company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist and guide teammates with both a wide range of gardening and soft landscaping tasks as well as daily work preparation tasks.
- Carefully and safely operate power equipment and hand tools required to perform a professional level of gardening and planting services.
- To assist with materials organization and basic equipment maintenance.
- Always wear appropriate PPE and comply with all company policies and regulations.
- To be inquisitive and willing to learn better and new skills across our service offerings.
- To conduct themselves in a courteous manner, respecting client privacy and property.
- Requires good manual dexterity, stamina and attention to detail.
- Able to move around on uneven ground, kneel, crouch, bend, reach, lift and carry for prolonged periods throughout the day.
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain and cold.
- G licence and ability to drive truck with trailer and clear drivers abstract.

**Required Experience**
- Apprenticeship or other formal training in the landscape/horticultural field an asset
- 2+ years’ experience in landscape / garden maintenance duties, greenhouse operations, arboriculture or landscape construction duties preferred
- Proven leadership experience.
- Proficient knowledge of common trees, shrubs and perennials found in Ontario, as well as their habit and care.
- Proficient knowledge of pruning & shaping of trees and shrubs.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and willingness to learn and adapt to change quickly.
- Experience recognizing common landscape plants.

**Contract** April - November: Mon-Fri 7:30am-1:30

**Rate** **$25/hr with an opportunity for an increase after 1 year.
