Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in St-Laurent and Madill. The Vice President, Private Brans & FORDIS will lead and manage the Re-Distribution & Private Brand teams of Imperial Dade Canada. Responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategy and programs to achieve segment sales and profitability target with an emphasis on the development of new profitable business for both FORDIS and Private Brands.

As a provider of customized supply chain solutions, the company serves customers in many business-to-business market segments including supermarkets, healthcare facilities, universities, and restaurants. Founded in 1935 and headquartered in New Jersey, Imperial Dade serves more than 80,000 customers through a footprint of 80+ branches.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the sales and private brand management teams.
- Accountable to create sales strategies and plans to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Drive growth of Imperial Dade private brands both as a percentage of our sales and organic sales growth.
- Manage Private Brands pipeline.
- Develop and execute strategies for new profitable business with:
- New customers within specified market segments.
- Existing customers in the market area.
- Establish clearly defined sales and gross profit objectives for each member of the sales team and the corporate objectives.
- Develop multi-level relationships with key customers.
- Manage SalesForce expenses and work within fiscal budget.
- Ensure that agreements are implemented and strictly followed.
- Liaise with suppliers as required.
- Be the corporate contact and execute Business Review for Buying Groups.
- Work with senior private brand management at ID in the US to leverage relationships and best practices.
- Work with senior leadership team in Canada to execute private brand strategies and establish sales targets.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets within a competitive environment along with an ability to develop and lead a sales force in a fast moving market.
- Autonomous and proactive, with the ability to effectively interact with customers (internal and external) to identify and meet individual needs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced competitive environment with excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Be able to foster an environment that will reward high performer while support and coach the balance of the team to raise them to higer performance.
- Proven track record of above average performance in the areas of selling skills and people management.
- Strong and proven organizational, planning and leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of Imperial Dade Canada/Fordis target markets and key customers within those markets.
- Knowledge of basic business financials. Be able to know what makes a business profitable.
- Must be available to travel throughout the territory.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- French is an asset, as the employee might communicate with the head office, vendors, and suppliers in Quebec.
Required Experience/Education
- University degree within sales or marketing; or equivalent experience.
- Strong sales management and professional sales experience, as a senior manager or director with 7-10 years experience within the Distribution segment, redistribution preferred.
- Basic Business Financial analytics knowledge.
- Experience dealing effectively with senior executives and business owners.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirement:
- Standard office environment.
- Travelling time vs Office time is about 50% vs 50%.
Decision Rights:
- Profitability of the territory (within specific criterias).
- Management of any exceptions to the business rules.
- Management of the expenses budget.
- Customer assignment.
