Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in St-Laurent and Madill. The Vice present, Eastern Region Canada will manage the revenue and profit/loss metrics for six distribution facilities and growing, and drive effective execution of marketing, sales, procurement, operations, and sales support strategies to ensure alignment with Imperial Dade Canada and regional objectives, and achieve customer growth in assigned markets.

Job Responsibilities:
Driving Business Strategies:
- Collaborate with the President and the different leaders to gain alignment on plans for tactical execution of Imperial Dade Canada strategies and initiatives.
- Responsible for effective communication of business priorities, strategy objectives and deliverables to functional leaders and employees.
- Drive effective change management to accelerate the execution of Imperial Dade Canada business strategies and the achievement of Territory financial results and targets.
- Direct the Territory planning process, both long and short-term, to meet current and anticipated financial and market share growth goals.
- Demonstrated performance in meeting financial goals.
Executing Business Territory Objectives:
- Manage and direct the activities of all Territory employees as they execute on the sales, marketing, procurement, and sales support and logistics/operations objectives for the Territory.
- Responsible for the successful management of Territory budget, assets and expenses to achieve financial targets and performance goals.
- Collaborate with Corporate and functional resources (e.g. Sourcing Leaders, National Business Development Managers) to identify and implement tactics in support of overall strategy by segment.
- Provide additional management presence in key accounts and with key suppliers in order to enhance the procurement and selling positions of Imperial Dade Canada.
- Maintain a strong awareness of local market opportunities and risks.
Talent Acquisition & Development:
- Drive accountability to execute on Territory recruiting targets and ensure alignment with Regional and Corporate talent acquisition objectives.
- Actively engage in identifying local and regional talent to develop bench strength for sales and operations management and key leverage positions.
- In conjunction with Human Resources, drive the effective execution of the Imperial Dade Canada Performance and Talent Management process across all functions within the Territory; conduct monthly one-on-ones with direct reports to ensure ongoing coaching and career development planning.
- Provide active leadership to ensure a culture of positive employee relations and a high level of employee performance and engagement.
Managing Results:
- Manage Territory overall activities to meet or exceed financial targets and metrics, including EBIT, ROI, ROS, GTM, working capital, operating and T&E expenses.
- Responsible for asset and inventory management to improve DIOH, drive EBIT growth and contain costs.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives to reduce TIR and drive a culture of Safety awareness and responsibility among Territory employees.
- Meet or exceed the Territory performance goals while optimizing headcount and reducing personnel/operating costs.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high level of integrity, energy and leadership capability.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and measure financial metrics required.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers at different levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate a team, manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment essential.
- Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills required.
- Effective interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and conflict management skills required.
- Proficient PC skills required.
- Position will require approximately 20% travel to customers, suppliers and locations within the local market geography.
- French is an asset, as the VP might communicate with the head office, vendors, and suppliers in Quebec.
Required Experience/Education
- University degree required; or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7-10 years experience as a senior manager or director.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in sales or operations preferred.
- Distribution management experience (either working in or dealing with).
