We are looking for an experienced, strategic and energized Controller for our North American entities. This position plays a key financial leadership role over seeing the accounting operations and financial reporting in a dynamic market. As part of the senior leadership team, you will have the opportunity to own the numbers, shape the process and help drive growth.

Our passion is creating innovative apparel, riding and protective gear for various outdoor activities, including snowmobiling, motocross, fishing, and working outside.

**The opportunity**:
As the Controller for North America, you’ll lead a high functioning finance team and oversee the accounting operations and financial reporting for all North American entities within the organization. You’ll ensure regulatory compliance, manage audits and be the go-to expert for GAAP and internal controls. You’ll work closely with our global finance team and senior leaders to ensure timely and accurate reporting, support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and mentor the finance team to foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and oversee the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate preparation of accounts, journal entry preparation, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Oversee daily accounting functions of multiple locations across Canada and US, including retail.
- Oversee Payroll for both Canadian and US employees.
- Support audits, tax filings, and ensure regulatory compliance for both Canada and US.
- Ownership of the general ledger for North American operations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately, reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and financial data supports both internal decision-making and external reporting.
- Drive continuous process and controls improvement across finance operations, with a focus on standardization and compliance. Implement best practices that support growth and audit requirements.
- Participate in budget development and management, including forecasting
- Coordinate internal reporting and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to accounting standards
- Analyze financial performance and recommend enhancements to improve cost controls and efficiencies
- Manage external consulting relationships

**What you bring**:

- Post-Secondary education with an accounting designation, CPA, (CA, CMA, CGA)
- Minimum 5 years’ financial management experience, with progressive levels of responsibility
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Detail oriented, analytical mindset with a sense of curiosity and drive for continuous improvement
- Experience with inventory control and management
- Experience with Power BI considered an asset
- Demonstrated leadership skills and previous experience working with multiple locations
- Proven ability in making decisions that positively impact financials

- Positive attitude
