These values, which reflect the talent, experience and qualities of our employees, allows us to get the best out of each and every one of us. **Job Description**: Upon your arrival, you will support the project delivery teams by preparing project estimates, including engineering costs, equipment, materials (eg piping, electrical details and instrumentation) and labor associated with the work of construction. You will report to the Manager, Cost Estimating within the Project Management Office (PMO) team. Your role and responsibilities will be: - Participate in or be in charge of estimating the costs of major infrastructure projects (100-500M$) - Establish estimates with detailed lists of materials (“Material Take Off”), prices and labor hours for construction - Review drawings to determine scope of work and estimate details - Work closely with other disciplines (e.g. procurement, planning, engineering) and project managers to ensure alignment in methods, estimating approach and production deliverables required for projects - Participate in value engineering efforts by recommending the best solutions based on cost, engineering, quality or availability of materials - Participate in the preparation of requests for budget estimates - Develop and maintain cost databases of past projects - Support the Manager, Cost Estimating in setting up work processes - Request detailed project cost estimates - Support the Cost Control teams in the integration of the actual costs of the project to date and the lists of detailed materials of the "IFC" (Issued For Construction) lots in the production of a Class1 estimate - Participate in reviews of project cost estimates submitted by contractors **Qualifications**: - Bachelor's degree in engineering / DEC in engineering or equivalent - Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or estimating for major projects in the oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, mining or metallurgical industries **YOUR COMPETENCIES** - Good knowledge and understanding of major project construction activities - Thirsty to produce estimates in a fast-paced work environment - Attention to detail and methodical work organization - Results oriented and easy to solve issues - Ability to accurately interpret and understand technical documents (drawings and specifications) - Well versed with cost estimating tools and methodologies and advanced level of MS Excel - Have been exposed to the research and use of benchmarking data - Excellent analytical communication skills, oral and written, in French and English - Team player attitude, good interpersonal skills, self-motivated and willing to support other groups - Interest in working in a flexible and diverse team environment, a mix of diverse technical disciplines, stakeholders and entrepreneurs at all levels of the organization Additional Information At Enerkem, the well-being of our employees is at the heart of our priorities We provide a living environment where each individual counts and is recognized for their contribution to the success of the organization.
