**Project Estimator**

**Responsibilities**:

- Actively check multiple websites for posted projects and verify scope of work for potential opportunities.- Leads the estimation process for renovation or new construction prospects-
- Conducts detailed analysis of estimates, contractual documents, and specifications to determine and validate overall project requirements-
- Leads the development of conceptual estimate proposal submissions and presentations to support construction management and design-build projects-
- Complete tender forms (if required), generating requests for information, anticipating proposal requirements, and assisting to establish a global project schedule-
- Conducts risk and opportunity analysis by reviewing all bid related documents and utilizing project and industry knowledge-
- Assists with bid document control by documenting, organizing, and archiving all information relating to the estimate for successful transfer to the project team-
- Coordinates with internal departments and external stakeholders to create site logistics, a schedule, an execution plan, and project budget requirements-
- Completes and presents final cost estimate and tender submission to department or manager for review and approval before submission to the clientRequirements and Qualifications
- College or university degree in civil engineering, architecture, or construction estimating technician (PMP or AEECQ is an asset)- Construction: Minimum 5 years related experience-
- Estimator: Minimum of 5 years related experience-
- Experience in municipal construction bids-
- Strong written and oral communication skills in French and English-
- Good communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and teamwork-
- Results oriented with a high level of self-motivation-
- Ability to inspire the trust and respect of others and create a positive climate for teamwork
- Easily adaptable and ability to learn on the fly- Rigor and attention to detail
