Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the company’s health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure a safe work environment.
- Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal health and safety regulations.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain and update all health and safety documentation, including reports and compliance records.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding safety matters.
- Oversee and manage the certification renewal process to maintain COR® 2020 Equivalency and ISO 45001 compliance.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through communication and leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CRSP, CHSC, or equivalent) is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of OHSA, WSIB, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Experience with COR® certification and ISO 45001 standards preferred.
- Proven experience in managing and overseeing safety certification renewals.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
