BURNCO is looking for a meticulous and self-driven Payroll Administrator who will be responsible for the administration of company payroll programs. You'll also ensure compliance with company policy and all federal and provincial statutory requirements and regulations, process payrolls in a timely and accurate manner, and maintain employee records and files for payroll.

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- Ensure all payroll activities of the Company are conducted in a manner which is in full and complete compliance with all applicable Company policies and procedures, and government regulations
- Process payroll for full-time, part-time, term, salaried and hourly employees for Canada & US. Pay Frequency Weekly & Bi-Weekly
- Prepares payments to all Company, Government and Union dues accurately and in accordance with required schedule.
- Reconciles specified payroll related sub-ledgers to applicable general ledger accounts
- Prepares specified month-end payroll accounting accruals and journal entries as required
- Keep abreast of all policy, and regulatory changes which may impact pay and benefits
- Responsible for the timely preparation and coordination of all remittances, reporting, and other information required by government regulation including: remittance of employee payroll deductions, withholdings pursuant to garnishee orders, preparation of Records of Employment, preparation of T4s and T4A's, W2s, pension plan, WCB etc.
- Respond to internal and external inquires
- Develop and provide reports to management on a scheduled basis
- Year-end reporting and reconciliation for both Canada & US
- Prepare all required payroll statistical and Government reports
- Perform other duties as required by the Payroll Manager

**What We Would Like from You**
- Minimum 3 years payroll experience processing Canadian and/or US
- Payroll Certification (Canadian or US) preferred or a combination of experience and education
- Demonstrated knowledge of Revenue Canada Payroll Legislation (CPP, EI, tax)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal/Provincial government requirements and legislations
- Proven experience in a team-based environment
- Experience with UKG as a system would be an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
