Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist/HACCP Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that all food safety and quality systems are implemented, maintained, and continuously improved to meet GFSI standards. This is a hands-on position requiring someone who is proactive, analytical, and passionate about food safety and quality assurance in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Food Safety Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), ensuring compliance with all regulatory, customer, and certification requirements.

Lead the creation and maintenance of HACCP plans and other prerequisite programs.

Conduct routine reviews and updates to ensure compliance with evolving food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Audit Preparation & Compliance:
Prepare for and participate in regulatory, customer, and third-party audits (e.g., GFSI schemes like FSSC22000).

Ensure all documentation, processes, and records are audit-ready at all times.

Coordinate and manage internal audits to proactively identify areas of improvement.
- Quality Control & Monitoring:
Oversee daily production processes to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety requirements.

Monitor and verify key process control points, including temperature, pH, sanitation, and traceability measures.

Investigate and report non-conformances, initiating and following through with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent reoccurrence.
- Training & Team Support:
Train and mentor production staff on food safety protocols, including HACCP, GMPs, and hygiene practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to optimize quality assurance processes and implement cost-effective solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, and R&D, to drive innovation and uphold food safety.
- Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and records.

Generate detailed reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, safety, and compliance.

Requirements: 
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food manufacturing with a focus on quality assurance or food safety (required).
- Proven experience developing and maintaining HACCP plans and food safety management systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with GFSI-recognized schemes is a must.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of food microbiology, sanitation principles, and allergen control.

Soft Skills:

- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train and engage team members effectively.
