**Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of the mechanical team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with Alberta standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Perform hands-on mechanical tasks and provide technical expertise as needed.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Coordinate and communicate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.
- Monitor work progress and address any issues promptly to minimize delays.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality control and ensure compliance with Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
- Mentor and train junior team members to improve skills and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time logged for projects.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in a mechanical trade, with a minimum of 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and materials relevant to Alberta’s construction and industrial sectors.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in using project management software or relevant tools.
- Certification in [specific mechanical field] or equivalent is preferred.
- Familiarity with Alberta OHS regulations and safety standards.
- A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.

**Working Conditions**

- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as required.
