Infrastructure Manager

**TransEd O&M Partners General Partnership is looking for a Infrastructure Manager to join The Assets Maintenance team. The Infrastructure Manager shall provide leadership to planning, directing, and guiding the Maintenance team to fulfill their duties. Working with the Head of Asset Management, this individual will ensure TransEd meets commitments to our client as well as Asset Management commitments of safety, asset stewardship, reliability, and cost. This leadership includes focus on all maintenance faculties, trackwork, power, communications, signaling, and civil assets including superstructures, geo-technical, stormwater drainage, parking facilities and landscaping.**

- TransEd Valley Line LRT is the first piece of the Valley Line project in Edmonton. Connecting Mill Woods to downtown Edmonton, the Valley Line allows commuters to go from the Southeast of Edmonton to anywhere the LRT stops.**A typical day for the **Infrastructure Manager**
- Ensure all Infrastructure assets are effectively functional, reliable, and safely operated and maintained to meet customer expectations. While meeting corporate and contractual requirements, evaluate, select, and supervise contracted service providers for infrastructure contract services
- Ensure the development of programs to appropriately maintain or extend the life of the Infrastructure assets
- Develop, plan and budget system maintenance programs and strategies
- Provide input into major capital projects and the development of construction and engineering standards and programs
- Manage the Human resources component of the Infrastructure Group. Oversee TransEd employees and multiple contracts.
- Fulfill day-to-day operational commitments of the Infrastructure portion of the organization. This includes development of personnel objectives, monitoring, coaching and discipline.
- The Superintendent shall manage and report to financial performance of the work group. This individual shall provide all necessary inputs to the Asset Manager to ensure annual capital and O&M budget and business needs are met.
- Prepare, review, and present business cases to obtain funding for special initiatives.
- Provide input to the Asset Manager concerning opportunities for improvement, refinement of Policy and Procedure to ensure the efficiency of the organization.

**What you will bring to the team**
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field, and/or professional accreditation in a related field of Asset Management, Maintenance Management or Reliability Management
- Infrastructure / light rail transit related education such as but not limited to Alberta Trade certificate or Technologist Diploma
- Formal Supervisory training is considered an asset
- A valid Alberta Operators license
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental management processes; safety awareness in electro-mechanical, civil infrastructure (roads/ bridges) environment
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of LRT operation and costs associated with the providing safe, effective passenger service
- Knowledge of O&M Rail Standards such as APTA, IRIS, CSA, IEEE, ISO, CEC
