**SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Lab Manager, as the Coop Student, you will provide the technical support and assistance required by plant management. You will also assure that chemical processes are maintained according to the appropriate Federal, Military, and Industrial Standard Specifications.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To provide chemical analysis and control of the plating bath, auxiliary, strip solutions at the required testing intervals; to develop analytical procedures if required;
- To perform analysis of the wastewater effluent discharged into sanitary sewers from the plating shop;
- To develop and maintain data of all chemical analyses in Truechem software;
- Address environmental concerns as required by Federal and Provincial Ministries of the Environment, as well as the local municipalities bylaws;
- Maintenance of the chemical labs equipment and chemicals;
- Perform other duties as assigned;

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Education in Chemistry;
- Familiar with electro-plating process, preferably in the aerospace industry;
- Familiar with autotitrator, UV-VIS spectrometer, Ion chromatograph, ICP equipment;
- Must be able to perform chemical analysis and maintain the appropriate log and charts;
- Position requires a person who can interact with people at various levels within the company;
