Laboratory Technician Co-op

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Performing mechanical/material properties characterization under ISO/ASTM standards. This includes
but is not limited to powder testing, metallography, chemical analysis, mechanical testing
- Support Burloak’s activities for research and development programs on materials and process
development for additive manufacturing
- Support Burloak’s activities with regards to ISO and NADCAP accreditations for materials and
mechanical testing lab Perform engineering functions under AS9100 quality management system requirements

**Qualification Requirements**
- Pursuing a college degree or BS in Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or
related technical degree with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Eligible for the co-op program for the duration of the contract
Training-Technical Requirements
trained by the Burloak Engineering team on the specific equipment and standardized testing that is
being preformed

**Knowledge Requirements**:

- Demonstrated computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e Word, Excel, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to manage routine correspondence, multiple tasks/projects, diversified workload.
and rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines

**Skills and Experience Requirements**:

- Ability to multitask, teamwork and schedule management.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills; problem-solving / troubleshooting skills. Ability to be comfortable moving and working around the lab for multiple hours.
