**Job Overview**:
We are currently seeking dedicated Medical Office Assistants to join our Primary Care team. This role involves assisting our healthcare professionals in their day-to-day tasks, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring that the clinic runs smoothly.

**Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Greet patients, determine their needs and proceed with appropriate action or direct them to the appropriate department/personnel.
- Receive incoming calls and answer routine inquiries; transfer calls to the appropriate team if applicable.
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Verify patient identity with valid government-issued photo ID, date of birth and legal name.
- Create, maintain and update patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information.
- Assist with various point of care testings or clinical procedures.
- Check and restock medical supplies in examination rooms.
- Provide general administrative support including, scanning documents, preparing and sending letters and notices, distributing incoming mails, and billing support.
- Assist and manage release of medical documents to patient and related correspondences.

- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrate strong empathy and de-escalation skills.
- Attention to details.
- High level of professionalism and ethics
- Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures, as well as privacy and confidentiality rules as per the Health Information Protection Act
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a multidisciplinary medical practice
- Experience in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
