Richmond, Canada Ultima Medical Services Inc Full time

Ultima Medical Clinic, located in the Vancouver Airport in Richmond, BC is looking for a full-time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Patient appointment booking and billing
- Preparing patients for their office visit and clinical examinations
- Performing office lab and screening tasks
- Processing referrals to specialists and booking appointments for additional outpatient testing (e.g. x-rays, ultrasounds, CT's, respiratory tests, etc.)
- Following up on patient recalls and referrals
- Coordinating clinic operations (i.e. Vaccines, supplies, and any special events)
- Communicating with corporate clients in relations to medical prevention programs (i.e. Flu clinics)
- Billing reconciliation, familiarity with BC FFS and LFP payment models
- Familiar with WCB/ICB processers and billings

**Knowledge and Skills required**:Completed MOA training course**
- MOA certification from an accredited educational institute
- Previous experience as an MOA
- Knowlege of Telus CHR (input Health) is preferred
- Familiar with WCB/ICBC processers and billings
- Strong written and oral skills (writing sample required)
- Efficient time-management and multi-tasking ability
- Interest in health care and compassionate understanding of patient’s needs
- Adaptability and flexibility to deal with last minute changes to ensure the highest level of service for staff and clients
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Subject to criminal record background check
- Reliable and able to work in a leadership role as well as a team member
