Marketing Business Development Analyst

The Marketing Business Development Analyst is a brand-new role with a dynamic focus on improving our Sales effectiveness for VFS in the Canadian market supporting Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE), Volvo Trucks and Mack Trucks. The position will focus largely on identifying business needs and creating and promoting our Marketing programs for these opportunities to help grow our three brands. The role is also supporting our plans to enhance our customer offering as well as to develop and market new services and solutions
**RESPONSIBILITES**:
- Develop programs in a collaborative manner with VCE, Volvo Trucks and Mack Trucks that will optimize retail price positioning in the marketplace and support market share objectives.
- Monitor and track results of all campaigns including cost/benefit analysis.
- Create promotional, print advertising, and point of sale material that increases VFS presence in the marketplace and enhances brand awareness.
- Liaise with VFS USA for all marketing and promotions for VFS Canada.
- Create, administer and track annual Dealer award and customer loyalty programs and any other special recognition programs.
- Create and implement a finance training strategy for our Dealers to improve overall retail sales capability.
- Develop market requirements and business cases for recommended new product development such as non-Volvo business.
- Responsible for internal corporate communication efforts.
- Support the District Finance Managers (DFM) and District Finance Associates (DFA) in attaining their VFS objectives.
- Work closely with DFM’s to develop and promote national and regional sales programs and promotions.
- Develop, analyze, and report on lost sales by Dealer, product type, geography and end use segment.
- Development, implementation, and use of business intelligence tools to improve business knowledge.
- Responsible for external Dealer network communications.
- Development of best practices and efficiencies within the sales department.
- Support cross functional projects and initiatives to enhance our customer offering and to develop and market new services and solutions
- The position may require 2-3 business trips per year in Canada as well as occasional trips to USA Headquarters in order to understand US best practices such as process efficiency and system enhancements.
**EDUCATION**:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing or Finance or relevant work experience
**EXPERIENCE**:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in construction equipment and truck financing and leasing or a relative industry.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and report on market conditions and plan effective strategies to support strategic objectives.
- Experience in designing, documenting, and launching new programs that meet the needs of the end user and provide value.
- Proven marketing action plans that lead to increased retail volumes.

- Team player with high level of integrity with strong customer focus.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of situations and differing levels of people.
- Strong expertise in marketing, strategic planning, and implementation.
- Ability to work autonomously with little direction at times with strong attention to detail.
- Strong ability to create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
- An understanding of Salesforce would be considered an asset
- Bilingual in French and English would be considered an asset
