Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Business Developer, based in Aurora, ON, with flexibility for occasional remote work. The Business Developer will focus on driving business growth through lead generation, market research, and strategic networking. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and coordinating with internal teams to support project goals. Regular updates on prospect pipelines and adherence to market trends will be integral to this role.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating business opportunities and market trends
- Proficiency in communication and customer service to engage with clients and internal stakeholders effectively
- Experience in lead generation and market research to identify and pursue potential partnerships
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and in dynamic environments
- Proficiency in CRM software and reporting tools is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in related fields
What you already bring
• 3+ years BD/sales experience in construction, design-build, architecture, or commercial real estate.
• Proven track record in generating B2B leads and setting qualified meetings.
• Understanding of fit-out cycles (permits, design, tendering, PM, handover).
• Confident communication; comfortable speaking with business owners, key decision makers, GPs, dentists/clinic owners, developers, landlords, brokers, Architects, Consultants, and Interior Designers.
• Proficiency with LinkedIn Sales, outbound email, and basic CRM hygiene.
• Self-starter mindset with accountability and result focus
Nice to have
• Existing network across brokers/landlords (CBRE, Colliers, Cushman, etc.), architects, medical groups, or franchises.
•
Experience with Toronto/GTA commercial interiors market.
• Comfortable presenting on short video calls or voice notes.
