Receptionist/administrative Assistant

**Overview**
West Bay Shipyards is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily operations, managerial needs and office functions. This role is essential in ensuring smooth office management, coordinating key business processes, and providing support to leadership and various departments.
**Duties**
- Provide administrative assistance to management as needed including entering daily labour, materials and charges into our Management Software.
- Oversee daily office operations, supplies procurement and vendor management.
- Maintain and organize company data and paperwork
- Assist in accounting processing for accounts receivable and payable as well as customer account and invoice preparation
- Co-Chair the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee and manage documentation and communications for the committee including toolbox talks, safety meetings, incident reports and compliance initiative
**Skills**
- Proficiency in front desk and administrative operations
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams etc.)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to challenges
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with strong customer service and a professional demeanor
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across teams
- Experience in Joint Occupational Health and Safety is preferred but not required
- Experience in a Manufacturing or Marine industry is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
