What it means to be an** Impact & Sustainability Coordinator Co-op**:
As a B Corp, Redbrick is committed to using business as a force for good. In a tech environment, this means balancing innovation and profitability with social and environmental responsibility. As an **Impact & Sustainability Coordinator Co-op**, your role would contribute to that balance—helping to embed sustainability into the fabric of Redbrick’s operations, partnerships, and culture.

We get it — you want to know exactly what you’re signing up for before hitting ‘apply’. As an **Impact & Sustainability Coordinator Co-op**on the Redbrick Shared Services team, you’ll be responsible for:

- Helping to finalize and create a distribution plan for Redbrick’s first Impact Report- Collaborating with our external partners, including ideating social media content, promoting existing campaigns and identifying volunteer opportunities.- Supporting a transition to low waste, ethical procurement and supplier vetting.- Helping with the data collection for Redbricks 2025 GHG report
- Supporting the tracking and implementation of Redbrick’s B Impact Assessment metrics.
- Conducting research on best practices in ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) for the tech industry.- Participating in stakeholder interviews or surveys to gather impact feedback.- Contributing to sustainability toolkits, policy updates, and communications.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, HR, and operations teams to embed sustainable practices.- Contributing to Redbrick’s content strategy across channels, such as social media, blog, and pitching a B Corp case study.

**After 1 week**- Completed onboarding and received orientation on our commitment as a B Corp and Redbrick’s values.- Introduced to Redbrick’s B Impact Assessment framework and current sustainability metrics.- Met with key stakeholders in marketing, operations, and HR to understand current initiatives.
- Identified at least one potential area for impact improvement based on initial research.

**Halfway through your co-op term**- Co-led the planning or execution of one internal engagement campaign (e.g., a sustainability challenge or lunch-and-learn).- Contributed a unique insight to Redbrick’s 2025 Impact Report.
- Created a draft research brief outlining 3-5 ESG trends relevant to Redbrick’s portfolio companies.

**And the End of your Co-op**- Successfully coordinated a company-wide sustainability campaign or program with measurable outcomes.-
- Helped pilot a new policy or toolkit based on B Corp requirements (e.g., sustainable procurement guidelines, volunteer day toolkit).- Created a ready-to-implement distribution plan for Redbrick’s first Impact Report.
- Played a visible role in fostering a culture of impact, through storytelling, participation, and team collaboration.

- Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business or Marketing with a focus on purpose-driven work.- Passion for sustainability, ethical business, social impact, and familiar with the mission of B Corporations.- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible formats.- Comfortable conducting independent research, analyzing data, and drawing insights related to ESG, sustainability, and impact reporting.- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholder needs.- Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, Canva or basic design platforms.- Brings fresh, innovative ideas to the table; proactive in seeking out opportunities to add value.- Able to thrive in a dynamic, tech-enabled workplace and navigate ambiguity with resilience.
