**Database Administrator - Junior**

**Here is what a typical day looks like**
- Writing Structured Query Language (SQL) scripts, investigating issues and supporting
- Defining users and enabling data distribution to the right user, in the appropriate format and in a timely manner
- Determining best-in-class high-speed transaction recovery and backup data techniques, providing recommendations, and implementing effective solutions to prevent data loss
- Perform diagnostics, testing and troubleshooting of software, operating system, and database issues
- Providing proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
- Plan and perform database installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrade, and patching
- Monitor, collect statistical information and provide reporting on capacity and system performance

**The value you bring**
- Proven experience working in Microsoft SQL Server environment
- Proven experience working in an Azure cloud environment
- History of analyzing & investigating, general business awareness, decision making ability, and problem solving
- Post secondary diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or related field an asset

Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours/week

Location: Winnipeg, MB / Calgary, AB (remote eligible)
