BOMImed is currently seeking an HR Admin Assistant to join our HR team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, handles sensitive information with care, and takes pride in contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace. It’s also a great opportunity for anyone looking to start their journey in Human Resources.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Provide administrative assistance to the Human Resource department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support file retention.
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries via phone and front door.
- Respond to frequently asked questions and escalate complex issues to appropriate HR personnel.
- Assist with onboarding processes, ensuring timely completion of documentation and orientation tasks.
- Maintain the integrity, organization, and confidentiality of employee records and HR files in accordance with legal and company standards.
- Coordinate & take part in health and safety meetings, inspections, and documentation.
- Track and manage safety-related programs such as shoe voucher distribution and safety data sheet updates.
- Record and distribute meeting minutes as required.
- Support the planning and execution of HR initiatives including training sessions, employee engagement activities, and surveys.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of office supplies, ensuring timely replenishment and cost-effective purchasing.
- Provide assistance with ad hoc HR tasks and cross-functional projects as assigned.
**Education & Experience**:
- 1-2 years of administrative or office experience.
- Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or currently enrolled, an asset but not required.
**Skills Required**:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Team-oriented with a proactive and flexible approach.
