Vibac Canada is looking to hire Quality and Environment Manager. The quality department manager is the guarantor of quality, environmental and research and development policies at Vibac Canada Inc.

The main objective of the position is to plan, organize, direct and control all activities related to product quality, and to conduct complex research and analysis of raw materials, finished products and formulations, to improve existing products or develop new products, while ensuring that these products meet the company's specifications and quality standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinating the activities of the quality and environment department, product and process development and complaint management(customers and suppliers);
- Put in place procedures for monitoring quality in production;
- Implement calibration and maintenance procedures for laboratory equipment and instruments as required;
- Develop and maintain and update procedures and methods of operation in its department;
- Get involved in research and development projects and follow up on some of the tests in the factory as needed;
- Get involved in some continuous improvement projects, by putting in place procedures and working methods to improve quality.
- Establish, in collaboration with production, the inspection, sampling and testing programs for raw materials and finished products.
- Recommend continuous improvement projects aimed at better quality or environmental management;
- Responsible for maintaining and complying with current quality and environmental regulations;
- Prepare documentation and conduct internal and external audits to maintain ISO requirements (9001/14001), by being responsible for monitoring these files;
- Ensure the development of new products, improve the quality of existing products, reduce production costs and offer alternative raw materials;
- Other responsibilities assigned by senior management;
TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- University degree in chemistry;
- Five (5) years of experience in an industrial laboratory (organic chemistry or related discipline);
- Three (3) years of experience in a similar position in team management;
**COMPETENCE / EXPERTISE**:

- Knowledge of Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Visio software;
- Strong knowledge of laboratory installations, equipment and instrumentation;
- Mobilizing leadership;
- Good judgment;
- Analytical mind;
- Rigour, autonomy and good sense of organization and planning;
- Attitude positive et proactive;
- Ability to find, promote and implement new solutions in terms of finished product quality;

**Requirements**:

- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of _Good Manufacturing Practices_ and SIMDUT;
- Bilingualism (French-English) spoken and written, (frequent contacts with suppliers and customers for follow-up of raw material or finished product quality files);
- Availability to work (occasionally) outside the regular schedule;

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
