**Focus**

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for Full Cycle Logistics on all shipments.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Communication with growers/shippers for pick ups
- Communication with buyers, sales and inventory teams
- Booking phytosanitary inspections with CFIA
- Booking, tracking and scheduling Air, Ocean, Truck & Rail
- Tracking of all shipments and management of documentation
- Track all loads to ensure on time arrivals, trouble shoot potential problems or delays
- Keeping up to date on freight rates as they change throughout the year
- Carrier development and claims negotiation

**Key Attributes and Skills**
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and database programs)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrate ability to plan workflow and efficiently prioritize competing tasks under tight deadlines
- Ability to be adaptable and problem solve in new and changing situations

**Education and Experience**:

- Post-secondary education in a related field considered an asset
- Logistics and/or customer service experience is an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Office and database software considered an asset
- Salary negotiable based on education & experience

**Working Conditions**
- Hours may be irregular and in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
- Work outside ordinary office hours (including weekends and holidays) will be required.
