Business Development Manager, Space and Defence

**Responsibilities**:
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the space and defence sectors.
Build and nurture relationships with key customers, industry partners, and government agencies to drive sales growth.
Strategically navigate target accounts and partner organizations to advance opportunities through the sales pipeline.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking engagements to enhance visibility and market presence.
Serve as the primary customer contact for proof-of-concept trials and field deployments, ensuring seamless execution and support.
Work closely with product and engineering teams to tailor solutions to customer needs and market demands.
Stay informed on Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) policies to align business strategies with compliance and funding opportunities.
Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to align sales strategies with company objectives and customer expectations.
**Qualifications**:
3+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in aerospace or defence.
Strong technical acumen or relevant educational background in space and defence industries.
Proven ability to establish and maintain strategic, long-term partnerships.
Experience navigating government programs, including Canada's ITB policy and regulatory requirements.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.
This is a full-time in-person role at our head office in Markham
