Coordinator Regulatory Action

The Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) is seeking a Coordinator, Regulatory Action. We have a permanent positionavailable to start immediately.

Hybrid work environment

The role

Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Action this position provides general and case-specific coordination and administrative support to the manager on cases referred for regulatory action and/or prosecution. Responsibilities include provision of case-related information and support to internal departments including regulatory compliance program leaders, litigation and stakeholder relations, data entry and report preparation.

Position responsibilities

Planning
- Contribute to development of team plans
- Contribute to team processes and workflows
- Plan and prioritize individual/own assignments, tasks, and workflow to support team performance measures.

Execution
- Complete and report on assigned tasks
- Resolve issues and challenges, escalating as appropriate
- Collaborate with team, internal and external colleagues
- Develop awareness of risks and risk triggers, escalating as appropriate

Self Management
- Actively participate in coaching and performance management activities, including setting personal goals and development plans
- Engage in formal and informal learning opportunities that support growth in current role and career aspirations; proactively seek out opportunities to contribute to the organization
- Demonstrate self-awareness and emotional intelligence - developed through formal training, inquiry, feedback, and reflection - to be a professional, resilient, confident contributor to the organization.

Other duties as assigned
- Complete ad-hoc assignments delegated by management
- Support issue resolution escalated by team
- Act as back-up for colleagues and counterparts during absences
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and experience
- Understanding of TRESA as it applies to RECO’s compliance programs, or ability to quickly develop it
- Minimum two years’ experience in a regulated industry or professional association; experience in a compliance-related role a strong asset
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office and CRM/databases, with demonstrated ability to mine and analyze data
- Ability to function both independently and collaboratively across teams.
