**Salary Range: $55,000 to $60,000 Annually**

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Director of Operations and Finance, the Human Resources Assistant will support Street Haven's human resources function by coordinating recruitment activities and handling general HR administrative tasks. This role works directly with the Human Resources Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of HR services across the organization.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
**Talent Acquisition**
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment processes including job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling
- Conduct pre-employment reference checks
- Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation
- Maintain relationships with employment agencies and job boards
**HR Administration**
- Process employee documentation and maintain personnel files
- Assist with benefits administration and enrollment
- Respond to basic HR inquiries from staff
- Maintain HR policies and procedures documentation
- Assist with employee relations issues as directed
**Qualifications**
**Education & Experience**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, and/or a combination of relevant education and work experiences
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or recruitment role preferred
- Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS and ADP systems an asset
- Non-profit experience considered an advantage

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

**Where we work**
This role is based in Downtown Toronto and requires working on-site 5 days a week, 40 hours weekly. Occasional evening work may be required. Some travel to other sites as needed.
